Joshua Pendleton

Born and raised along the Wasatch Mountains, Joshua Pendleton has built both his family and career in the heart of this inspiring natural environment. With over 30 years of experience in the landscaping industry, Joshua has honed his craft in designing and constructing innovative outdoor spaces, particularly in the realm of natural water features. His work blends a deep respect for nature with cutting-edge techniques to create enduring landscapes that reflect the harmony and beauty of the natural world.

As a certified Permaculture Designer, Joshua brings a unique perspective to his projects, making his firm the first and only landscape design/build company in the region to hold this credential. This certification underscores his commitment to sustainable, ecologically responsible designs that integrate seamlessly with their surroundings.

Joshua’s passion for learning and innovation has driven him to pioneer new methodologies in water system design and to introduce groundbreaking products like Carbon One to the market. Through ventures such as GrowMax, which specializes in products that support earth-friendly systems, and Mountain West Landscaping, his design/build firm, Joshua continues to push the boundaries of landscape innovation while fostering a team of like-minded professionals who share his vision and passion.

In recent years, Joshua has expanded his focus to include real estate investment and development, with a particular interest in private money lending and sustainable living projects. By combining his landscaping expertise with a strategic approach to real estate, Joshua is creating eco-conscious spaces that marry aesthetic appeal with environmental stewardship. This evolution aligns with his lifelong mission to design and build spaces that inspire, endure, and respect the natural world.

Operations Manager

Miguel Gasca

Miguel grew up in West Jordan, Utah. He and his wife are now raising two kids in West Jordan. Appreciating the four seasons of the state, Miguel enjoys spending time with his family in the snow during the winter and doing multiple outdoor sports in the spring such as hiking, swimming, fishing and soccer. Miguel appreciates the beauty of outdoor activities and nature. He envisions making the world a better place for him and his family, while helping customers achieve the same dreams for their gardens.

Miguel comes from a family of landscapers & farm workers, who have taught him the ropes in the landscaping industry and cultivation. Before working for Mountain West Landscaping Miguel attended the California State University of Monterey Bay & Brandman University to get a Master’s in Business Administration. With prior experience working for large companies such as Facebook & Amazon headcounters. Miguel brings enough experience to lead a team, provide great customer service & help Joshua move the company forward while still making a positive impact in our planet.

Pest Control/Fertilization Manager

Caleb Anderson

Caleb grew up in the fields and woods of Iowa, where a love for the outdoors became a way of life. In 2023, Caleb moved to Utah, bringing with him not only a passion for nature but also a deep respect for the balance of its ecosystems. With nearly two years of professional pest control experience and a lifetime spent fishing, hunting, and exploring the wild, Caleb blends practical skill with an unwavering commitment to conservation.

In his work, Caleb focuses on solving pest problems in ways that protect homes and properties while minimizing environmental impact. His extensive outdoor background gives him a unique perspective on how nature works—and how to work with it, not against it.

When he’s not helping clients protect their spaces, Caleb can be found casting a line in a quiet stream, hiking through Utah’s rugged terrain, or enjoying the same natural beauty he works so hard to preserve.
